# Castkro > Castkro is a casting platform for the Indian entertainment industry. Performers build a profile and apply to casting calls; casting directors post roles, search for talent, and hire. This file indexes the Castkro help centre. Every article URL below also serves its Markdown source at the same address with `.md` appended. ## For performers - [How to Find Acting Auditions and Casting Calls on Castkro](https://www.castkro.com/help/applying-for-work/find-casting-calls): Open Casting Calls, filter by location, role type and production type, and set Availability to Open. Browsing is free and needs no account. You only sign in to apply. - [How to Apply for an Acting Audition Online](https://www.castkro.com/help/applying-for-work/apply-to-a-casting-call): Open a casting call, choose your role under Apply for a role, add an optional note and tap Apply now. Most calls need a headshot, and the free plan includes 15 applications a month. - [How to Make Your Application Stronger](https://www.castkro.com/help/applying-for-work/strengthen-your-application): Some casting calls say what the casting director would also like to see. You can still apply, but the casting director can filter out applications below their preferences, so fixing the list first helps. - [Tracking Your Applications](https://www.castkro.com/help/applying-for-work/my-applications): Open Applications in the main menu to see every application and its status, from Applied to Cast. You can edit or withdraw one only while it still says Applied, and invitations wait at the top. - [How to Reach a Casting Director on Castkro](https://www.castkro.com/help/applying-for-work/contact-a-casting-director): Castkro does not publish casting directors' phone or WhatsApp numbers. Reach them by applying to their casting call or messaging them on Castkro. Replying is always free, and nobody genuine asks you to pay. - [How to Use Showreels to Get Noticed](https://www.castkro.com/help/applying-for-work/perform-for-talent): On Showreels you pick an audition script, record yourself performing it, and upload the take. Public takes appear on your profile and on Showreels for casting directors, and Showreel Challenges add votes and Star Score points. - [Hitting the Monthly Application Limit](https://www.castkro.com/help/applying-for-work/application-limit): The free performer plan includes 15 applications a month, Starter 30, and Spotlight and Elite are unlimited. Withdrawn applications and accepted invitations still count, and the count resets with your plan's cycle. - [How to Build a Castkro Profile That Casting Directors See](https://www.castkro.com/help/talent-profile/create-a-talent-profile): Sign up as a Performer / Artist, finish three setup screens, then add a bio of at least 100 characters and four photos. Casting directors cannot find you in search without those last two. - [Why Your Profile Is Not Showing in Search](https://www.castkro.com/help/talent-profile/get-found-in-search): Casting directors only find profiles with a headshot, at least four photos, a bio of 100 or more characters, at least one role type and 70% completion. Your dashboard shows which one you are missing. - [Adding Photos and Videos to Your Portfolio](https://www.castkro.com/help/talent-profile/add-photos-and-videos): Open your dashboard, find Your Profile, and tap Add photo or Add video. The free plan holds 6 photos and 1 video, paid performer plans are unlimited, and each photo can be up to 10 MB. - [Adding Experience, Skills and Role Types](https://www.castkro.com/help/talent-profile/add-experience-and-skills): On your dashboard, scroll down to Your Profile and tap Edit on Role types, Skills or Languages, or Add credit under Experience. You can hold up to 5 role types, 15 skills and 20 languages. - [What Profile Completion Actually Measures](https://www.castkro.com/help/talent-profile/profile-completion): Your percentage adds up nine sections, from a headshot worth 12% to videos worth 5%. It is a progress guide, not the bar for appearing in search, which asks for more photos and a longer bio. - [Public, Discoverable, Indexable: Your Privacy Controls](https://www.castkro.com/help/talent-profile/profile-visibility-settings): Your profile can be live by link, in Find Talent search, and on Google. Make it private under Profile visibility in Account settings. Casting directors you applied to can still see it. - [How the Star Score and Trophies Work](https://www.castkro.com/help/talent-profile/star-score-and-trophies): Star Score is reputation you earn, mostly by entering and winning Showreel Challenges. It lifts where you appear in casting searches, cannot be spent, and trophies mark what you have achieved. - [Claiming Your Castkro Profile Link](https://www.castkro.com/help/talent-profile/your-castkro-handle): Every performer profile has a link in the form castkro.com/@your-name. Change it from the pencil next to the link on your dashboard. Your old link keeps working and redirects to the new one. ## For casting directors - [Credits: What They Are and What They Buy (Casting Directors Only)](https://www.castkro.com/help/billing/credits-and-packs): Credits unlock a performer's phone number or email, usually 1 credit each. Paid casting director plans add credits every billing cycle, and any casting director can buy a credit pack from One-time purchases. Bought credits never expire. - [How to Create a Casting Director Profile on Castkro](https://www.castkro.com/help/casting-calls/create-a-casting-director-profile): Sign up and choose Casting Director, then fill in three setup screens: About you, Casting work, and Standards and goals. You must be 18 or over, and Indian phone numbers are verified with a one-time code. - [How to Post a Casting Call on Castkro (Step by Step)](https://www.castkro.com/help/casting-calls/post-a-casting-call): Four steps: production basics, roles, logistics, then publish. A call goes live once it has a title, a description, compensation and at least one published role. - [How to Add Roles to a Casting Call](https://www.castkro.com/help/casting-calls/add-roles-to-a-casting-call): On the Roles step, pick On-screen, Off-screen or Voiceover, fill in the role form and tap Save role. A call needs at least one saved role before it can publish. - [How to Write a Role Description That Gets Good Applications](https://www.castkro.com/help/casting-calls/write-a-role-description): In About this role, say who the character is, how big the part is, the language, and any skill it genuinely needs. Set an honest age range and gender, because those decide who hears about the role. - [Why Your Casting Call Is Under Review (and How to Fix It)](https://www.castkro.com/help/casting-calls/why-was-my-casting-call-not-published): Every new casting call is checked before it goes live, usually in under a minute. If yours is not live, it is missing something, held for a person to check, or declined with a note saying what to change. - [Setting Required and Preferred Applicant Standards](https://www.castkro.com/help/casting-calls/set-application-requirements): On the Audition and logistics step, pick a Minimum standard under Who can apply. Required items stop anyone who falls short from applying. Preferred items let them apply but mark them Below preferences for you. - [Editing, Unpublishing and Closing a Casting Call](https://www.castkro.com/help/casting-calls/edit-or-close-a-casting-call): Open My Casting Calls and tap Edit casting call. A live call stays live while your changes are checked. It closes on its Listing expiry date, and Unpublish takes it off the site at once. - [Asking for a Self-Tape With Your Role](https://www.castkro.com/help/casting-calls/self-tape-requests): There is no self-tape setting on a role today. Describe the tape you want in About this role, watch applicants' profile videos and performances, and message people on your shortlist for anything more. - [How to Find Actors and Models on Castkro](https://www.castkro.com/help/finding-talent/find-talent): Open Find Talent, pick a category such as Female Actors, then narrow it with filters for gender, age, city, profession and skills. Browsing is free. Inviting performers and saving them to lists needs a casting director account. - [How Contact Unlock Works (and What It Costs)](https://www.castkro.com/help/finding-talent/contact-unlock): On a performer's profile, tap Unlock phone or Unlock email. Each costs the credits shown on the button, usually 1. You need a live, unexpired casting call and enough credits, and you never pay twice for the same detail. - [Saved Searches and Talent Alerts](https://www.castkro.com/help/finding-talent/saved-searches-and-alerts): On Find Talent, set your filters and tap Save this search. Leave alerts on and Castkro notifies you when more performers match. Run, edit or delete saved searches from Saved Searches in the menu. - [Building Candidate Lists and Shortlists](https://www.castkro.com/help/finding-talent/candidate-lists): Tap Save on a Find Talent card, or Add to list on a profile, and pick or create a list. Open Candidate Lists in the menu to see your lists, including Unlocked Contacts, everyone whose details you unlocked. - [How to Invite Talent to Apply for Your Role](https://www.castkro.com/help/finding-talent/invite-talent-to-apply): Tap Invite to apply on a performer's card or profile, choose your casting call and role, add a note and send. You need a published call. Track answers under Invited, where you can nudge once or withdraw. - [Using Showreels to Find Talent](https://www.castkro.com/help/finding-talent/perform-for-recruiters): Tap Showreels in the menu to watch short videos of performers acting Castkro audition scripts. Open a script to compare everyone who performed it, then tap a performer's name to open their profile and invite them. - [Using the Application Manager to Review Applicants](https://www.castkro.com/help/hiring/application-manager): Open Applications to see everyone who applied to any of your casting calls. Work through New with Shortlist, Not a fit or Archive, message people from Shortlisted, and use Mark as cast when you give someone the part. - [Messaging Talent: Rules and Limits](https://www.castkro.com/help/hiring/messaging-talent): To message performers you need a verified phone number and a published casting call. On the free plan you can start 3 conversations in total, ever. Paid casting director plans have no limit, and messaging never uses credits. - [Verifying Your Account: What It Unlocks](https://www.castkro.com/help/trust-and-safety/verify-your-account): A verified phone number lets you message performers. The free Identity verified badge builds trust, and Castkro may ask for it before you see more applicants or unlock more contacts. Posting casting calls needs neither. ## For parents & guardians - [Castkro's Policy for Performers Under 18](https://www.castkro.com/help/trust-and-safety/minor-policy): Performers under 18 do not hold their own Castkro account. A parent or legal guardian creates and runs the profile, and casting directors who ask for contact details get the guardian's, never the child's. - [Managing a Child's Profile as a Parent or Guardian](https://www.castkro.com/help/trust-and-safety/guardian-accounts): Verify your phone, open Child profiles and select Add a child profile. You then act for your child to build their profile, apply and reply to messages, and hand the profile over when they turn 18. ## For everyone - [Change Your Email, Phone or Password, or Delete Your Account](https://www.castkro.com/help/account/account-settings): Open Account settings from your account menu. Change your details on the Account tab, your password on the Password tab, and delete your account at the bottom of the Account tab. - [Manage Your Castkro Notifications and Emails](https://www.castkro.com/help/account/notifications): Open Account settings, then the Notifications tab, and switch each category on or off for In-app and Email. Alerts about payments, security and account standing always reach you. - [Be Both a Performer and a Casting Director on Castkro](https://www.castkro.com/help/account/switch-account-type): You cannot add a second profile type to your login yourself today. Write to support through the contact form and ask for a performer or casting director profile to be added. - [Can't Sign In to Castkro? Reset Your Password and Other Fixes](https://www.castkro.com/help/account/cant-sign-in): Select Forgot password? on the Login page and use the link we email you within 12 hours. If you signed up with Google, use Continue with Google instead. - [How to Verify Your Phone Number on Castkro](https://www.castkro.com/help/account/phone-verification): Open Account settings, select + Add number, enter your number, then type the 6-digit code we send by SMS within 10 minutes. Indian numbers always need a code. - [Why Castkro Asks for Your Date of Birth](https://www.castkro.com/help/account/date-of-birth): Castkro accounts are held by adults, so everyone gives a date of birth at sign-up. On a performer profile it cannot be edited once saved. If yours is wrong, write to support. - [How to Report a Problem or Bug on Castkro](https://www.castkro.com/help/account/report-a-bug): Open the contact form, choose Report a problem or bug, and include the page address, your device and your browser. Signed in, you can attach a screenshot too. - [Castkro Subscription Plans Explained](https://www.castkro.com/help/billing/subscription-plans): Performers and casting directors have separate plans, and both start free. Performer plans add applications, portfolio space and search placement. Casting director plans add contact credits and unlimited conversations. - [Finding Your Invoices, Receipts and GST Details](https://www.castkro.com/help/billing/invoices-and-receipts): Open Billing from the account menu and scroll to Billing history. Each payment has an Invoice link to your GST tax invoice, or a Receipt link where no tax invoice was issued, and both can be saved as a PDF. - [How to Cancel Your Castkro Plan](https://www.castkro.com/help/billing/cancel-your-plan): Open Billing, select Cancel subscription, pick a reason and confirm. You keep your plan until the end of the period you have paid for, and you can select Resume subscription before then if you change your mind. - [Promoting Your Profile or a Casting Call](https://www.castkro.com/help/billing/promote-a-profile-or-casting-call): Performers get higher search placement on paid plans, and can buy a fixed-length profile promotion from One-time purchases when it is on sale. Casting calls cannot be promoted from the app; a sponsored listing is arranged with Castkro's team. - [Staying Safe: Casting Calls That Ask for Money](https://www.castkro.com/help/trust-and-safety/staying-safe): A genuine casting call never asks you to pay to audition, register or build a portfolio. If anyone does, stop, keep the conversation on Castkro, and select Report on the listing, profile or conversation. - [How to Report a User or a Fake Casting Call](https://www.castkro.com/help/trust-and-safety/report-a-user-or-listing): Sign in, select Report this listing on a casting call, Report on a profile, or the report icon in a conversation, pick what happened and submit. A person on our team reads every report. - [How to Block Someone on Castkro](https://www.castkro.com/help/trust-and-safety/block-someone): Select Block on someone's profile or at the top of your conversation with them, then confirm. Neither of you can contact the other until you unblock them from Account and settings, under Blocked people. They are not told. - [Getting the Identity Verified Badge](https://www.castkro.com/help/trust-and-safety/identity-verification): Open Account settings, go to the Verification tab, tick the consent box and select Verify with DigiLocker. It is free, takes about two minutes, and needs a DigiLocker account and a profile ready for the badge. - [Signing Up for Castkro When You Are Under 18](https://www.castkro.com/help/trust-and-safety/under-18-sign-up): If you are under 18, Castkro does not create an account from the sign-up form. Instead you give us a parent or guardian's email, we invite them, and they set up and run your performer profile for you. ## Main sections - [Casting calls](https://www.castkro.com/casting-calls): open roles to apply for. - [Find talent](https://www.castkro.com/find-talent): search performer profiles. - [Pricing](https://www.castkro.com/pricing): plans for performers and casting directors. - [Help centre](https://www.castkro.com/help): all articles indexed above.
