3. How We Share Your Information
Important: As a marketplace platform connecting talent with casting professionals, certain information sharing is fundamental to how the Platform operates. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
3.1 Public Profile Information
When you create a profile on Castkro, certain information you provide is visible to other users as necessary for the Platform to function:
- • Talent profiles are visible to casting directors, agents, and production companies searching for talent
- • Casting calls are visible to talent users searching for opportunities
- • Application materials submitted to casting calls are shared with the posting casting director
- • You control what information appears in your public profile through your privacy settings
3.2 With Other Users
- • When you apply to a casting call, the casting director receives your application materials
- • When you communicate through Platform messaging, the recipient receives your messages
- • When you are selected for a role, relevant parties receive your contact information
3.3 Service Providers
We share information with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf:
- • Cloud hosting and storage providers (AWS, Google Cloud, etc.)
- • Payment processors (Stripe, PayPal, etc.)
- • Email service providers
- • Analytics providers (Google Analytics, etc.)

These providers are contractually obligated to use your information only as necessary to provide services to us and must maintain appropriate security measures.
3.4 Business Transfers
If Castkro is involved in a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
3.5 Legal Requirements and Safety
We may disclose your information when required by law or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to:

4. Data Retention

Retention Periods
- • Active accounts: We retain your information for as long as your account is active
- • Inactive accounts: If your account is inactive for 24 consecutive months, we may deactivate it and archive your data
- • Deleted accounts: After you delete your account, we retain some information for up to 90 days to allow account recovery, then permanently delete personal information within 180 days
- • Legal retention: Some information may be retained longer if required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention, legal disputes)
- • Financial records: Transaction records are retained for 7 years for tax and accounting purposes
- • Communications: Support tickets and correspondence may be retained for up to 3 years
Even after deletion, some information may persist in backup systems for up to 90 days, or longer if required for legal compliance.
5. Your Privacy Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information. We honor these rights regardless of where you are located.
5.1 Access and Portability
You have the right to access your personal information and request a copy in a commonly used, machine-readable format. You can download most of your information directly from your account settings, or contact us at privacy@castkro.com to request a complete data export.
5.2 Correction and Update
You have the right to correct inaccurate or incomplete information. You can update most information directly in your account settings. If you need assistance, contact support@castkro.com.
5.3 Deletion
You have the right to request deletion of your personal information. You can delete your account through account settings, which will remove your profile and personal information within 180 days. Some information may be retained as described in Section 4 (Data Retention).
5.4 Object to Processing
You have the right to object to certain processing of your personal information, including:
- • Marketing communications (opt out anytime via unsubscribe link or account settings)
- • Personalized recommendations (disable in privacy settings)
- • Analytics cookies (manage via cookie preferences)
5.5 Restrict Processing

Your Responsibility: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Please use a strong, unique password and enable two-factor authentication if available. Never share your password with anyone.
Data Breach Notification: In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you and relevant authorities as required by applicable law, typically within 72 hours of discovery.
While we strive to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and you use the Platform at your own risk.
7. Children's Privacy
The entertainment industry includes performers of all ages, including minors. We take special care to protect the privacy of children who use our Platform.
7.1 Age Requirements
Users must be at least 18 years old to create an account independently. Users between 13 and 17 years old may use the Platform only with the involvement, supervision, and consent of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by our Terms of Service.
7.2 Parental Consent and Supervision
For users under 18:
- • A parent or guardian must create and manage the account
- • The parent/guardian is responsible for all activity on the account
- • Parents/guardians control what information is shared in the minor's profile
- • Parents/guardians must review and approve all communications and submissions
- • Parents/guardians may request access to or deletion of their child's information at any time
7.3 Children Under 13
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years old without verifiable parental consent. If we discover we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13 without proper consent, we will delete that information immediately.
For Parents: If you believe your child under 13 has provided personal information to us without your consent, please contact us immediately at privacy@castkro.com, and we will delete the information.
7.4 Additional Protections for Minors

8. International Data Transfers
Castkro is based in Canada, and our servers and service providers may be located in Canada, the United States, and other countries. By using the Platform, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence.
Different countries have different data protection laws, some of which may be less protective than the laws in your country. However, we take steps to ensure that your information receives an adequate level of protection wherever it is processed.
8.1 Transfers from the EEA/UK
If you are located in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, transfers of your personal information to countries outside those regions are based on:

Some browsers have "Do Not Track" features. Currently, there is no industry standard for responding to Do Not Track signals. At this time, our Platform does not respond to Do Not Track browser settings, but you can still control cookies as described above.

Important: We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of third-party websites or services. When you leave our Platform, we encourage you to read the privacy policies of any website you visit. This Privacy Policy applies only to information collected by Castkro through the Platform.
If you choose to connect your Castkro account with third-party services (such as social media accounts), those services may have access to certain information from your Castkro profile in accordance with their own privacy policies and your settings on those platforms.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. When we make changes, we will:

- • Post the revised Privacy Policy on the Platform
