A tenant has been asked to vacate with four days' notice. You perform only the TALENT lines —
leave the timed gaps for the reader.
READER: देखिए, मैं कोई बहस नहीं करना चाहता. चार दिन में flat खाली कर दीजिए. बात ख़त्म.

TALENT: चार दिन.
मुझे ग्यारह महीने का agreement दिया था आपने. Signed. Stamped. आपके ही हाथ से.
READER: Agreement में clause है. पढ़ा नहीं आपने?
(gap — 7s)
TALENT: पढ़ा है. Clause सात. Owner personal use के लिए notice दे सकता है — साठ दिन का.
चार का नहीं.
READER: अरे तो मैं बोल रहा हूँ ना, situation अलग है. मेरा बेटा shift हो रहा है.

TALENT: (controlled — this is the restraint beat)
आपका बेटा पिछले महीने भी shift हो रहा था. तब आपने rent बढ़ाया था. मैंने दे दिया.
उससे पिछले महीने आपकी बेटी shift हो रही थी. तब maintenance बढ़ा था. वो भी दिया.
मैं बेवक़ूफ़ नहीं हूँ, sir. मैं सिर्फ़ shareef हूँ. दोनों में फ़र्क़ होता है.
READER: देखिए, आप ग़लत समझ रहे हैं—

TALENT: (cutting in, still quiet)
नहीं. पहली बार सही समझ रहा हूँ.
मैं जा रहा हूँ. लेकिन साठ दिन बाद जाऊँगा, और deposit पूरा लेकर जाऊँगा.
और अगर आपको इससे दिक़्क़त है — तो हम दोनों वही agreement लेकर बैठ जाते हैं जो आपने बनवाया था.

चाय पिएँगे आप? मैं बना देता हूँ.
How to play it
The whole scene is a de-escalation played UPWARD — the character gets quieter as he gets stronger.
Do not raise your voice at any point; the moment you shout, you have lost the scene and the casting
director stops watching.
The final "चाय पिएँगे आप?" is the test. It must land as genuine courtesy, not sarcasm. Play the
courtesy straight and the threat underneath takes care of itself.
Eyeline: fix a point just off-lens at the reader's approximate height and hold it. Do not drift to
the camera.
Reader track: not yet published. Until it is, perform solo and leave the timed gaps.
