Using Castkro Perform to Find Talent

Tap Perform in the menu to watch short recordings of performers acting Castkro scripts. Open a script to compare everyone who performed the same piece, then tap a performer's name to go to their profile, where you can invite or message them.

What Castkro Perform is

Performers pick a script from Castkro's library, such as a monologue, a scene or a commercial, record themselves performing it, and publish it. Each recording becomes part of their profile. Castkro also runs contests around particular scripts.

For you, it is a way to see whether someone can act, rather than reading a credits list that says they can. Perform is not a casting system: casting directors cannot post scripts or run contests, and recording is for talent accounts. To collect tapes for a real role, use a casting call. Step 1: Open Perform

Tap Perform in the menu. The page shows Open contests, Scripts to perform and Recent performances. Tap See all performances for the full list, newest first.

Use the language links near the top to narrow everything to one language, such as Hindi.

Step 2: Compare performers on the same script

This is the most useful view for casting, because everyone is working from the same words.

1. Tap Browse scripts, or All scripts.
2. Filter by Format or Genre if you want, for example Monologue.
3. Open a script. Under the text and How to play it, Performances of this script shows every public recording of it, with the most voted first.

Step 3: Read a performance card

Each card shows the video, the script it performs, the performer's name, the length in seconds, and the vote count. A card from a contest also names the contest.

Tap the performer's name to open their profile.

Step 4: Go from a performance to casting

On the performer's profile, a Performances section shows their recordings, with More on Perform beside it. From the same profile you can:

• Tap Invite to apply to invite them to a role. See How to Invite Talent to Apply.
• Tap Message to start a conversation.
• Unlock their phone or email from the Contact panel.

Who you will not see on Perform

• Performers under 18. Their recordings are never shown publicly on Perform, on contests, or on their profile, whatever their guardian chooses.
• Performers who have hidden their profile, or whose account is suspended or deactivated.
• Recordings a performer kept private, or that Castkro has taken down.

So Perform shows fewer people than Find Talent. Use it to judge people you are already interested in, and Find Talent to search widely.

FAQ

Can I run my own contest to find talent?

No. Contests are run by Castkro only. To see several performers read for your project, post a casting call and describe the tape you want in the role.

Can I record a performance?

Performing is for talent accounts, and the Perform link in a casting director's menu opens the watching side only. A casting director account that reaches the recorder is shown Performing is for talent accounts, with a Watch performances button.

Does watching a performance cost credits?

No. Watching is free. Credits are only used when you unlock a performer's phone or email.

Can I vote?

Voting is open to signed-in viewers on contest entries while the contest's voting is open, except on your own entry. Votes do not affect your casting calls.

How long are performances?

Short. Each script suggests a length, and each contest sets a maximum, shown as Length on the contest page.
