How to Find Actors and Models on Castkro
Open Find Talent, pick a category such as Female Actors, then narrow it with filters for gender, age, city, profession and skills. Browsing is free. Inviting performers and saving them to lists needs a casting director account.

Before you start
- Anyone can browse. You do not need an account to search or open a profile.
- To invite someone, you need a published casting call with at least one role, because an invitation is always for a specific role. See How to Post a Casting Call.
- Only complete profiles appear. Performers show up in search once their profile meets Castkro's quality bar, so you will not be scrolling past empty profiles.
Step 1: Open Find Talent
Tap Find Talent in the menu. You will see Browse professional talent by category, with a card for each category.
Step 2: Pick a category
Tap the card closest to who you are casting, for example Browse Female Actors. Categories include Female Actors, Male Actors, Female Models, Male Models, Child Models, Senior Artists and All Talent. Pick All Talent if none fits.
Step 3: Search by name, profession, skill or city
The search box at the top of the category page reads Search by name, profession, skill or city. Type a word and pick a suggestion, or press Enter.
For example: Dancing, Punjabi, Voiceover or Chandigarh.
Step 4: Narrow the results with filters
On a phone, tap Filters to open them. On a larger screen they sit beside the results. Set what you need, then tap Apply filters. Reset clears them all.

Too few results? Widen before you give up
Turn Headshot required off, widen the age range by a few years, or search a state instead of a city. Then use Sort by to put the strongest profiles first.
Use Sort by to order the results by Recommended, Newest, Most viewed or Oldest, and Load more at the bottom to see the next set.
Step 5: Preview a profile without leaving the results
Tap a performer's photo or name. A Portfolio preview opens with their About, Skills and Photos, and arrows to step to the next performer. Tap Full profile to open the whole profile, or close the preview to carry on browsing.
Step 6: Keep track of the people you like
Each result card has three ways to keep someone:
- The heart adds them to your shortlist in one tap.
- Save opens Save to a list. Pick a list, or type a name under New list such as
Lead role shortlistand tap Create & save. - Save this search, above the results, saves your filters. Under Name, type something like
Mumbai actresses 22-30and tap Save search. Tell me when new talent matches this is ticked by default, and you can choose As they appear, Daily or Weekly.
Your lists are under Candidate Lists in the menu, and saved searches under Saved Searches.
Step 7: Invite a performer to apply
- Tap Invite to apply on the card or in the preview.
- Under Casting call, pick the call. Your most recent published call is selected for you.
- Under Role, pick the role you are inviting them for.
- In Add a personal note, say why you think they fit. For example:
Loved your Marathi short film. We are casting a junior doctor in a Hindi drama shooting in Mumbai. - Tap Send invitation.
The card changes to Invited. Their answer shows under Invited in the Application Manager.
Performers under 18
A performer under 18 carries an Under 18 label, and their profile is managed by a parent or guardian. A card also showing Contact blocked has no confirmed guardian yet, so you cannot invite them or unlock their contact details.
FAQ
Is it free to search for actors and models on Castkro?
Yes. Searching, filtering and opening profiles is free, with or without an account. Unlocking a performer's phone number or email uses credits. See How Contact Unlock Works.
Why is there no Invite to apply button?
You need to be signed in as a casting director. If you are, you also need a published casting call: without one, Castkro tells you that you need a published casting call before you can invite anyone. The button is also hidden on a card marked Contact blocked.
Why can't I find a performer I know is on Castkro?
Only profiles that meet Castkro's quality bar appear in search, and Headshot required is on by default. Turn that filter off, or search their name. If they still do not appear, their profile is not yet complete enough to be listed.
Does Verified only mean a performer has been checked?
It shows profiles that carry a verified mark. A verified mark is a useful signal, not a guarantee, and plenty of genuine performers are not verified yet. Review the portfolio and credits as you would for anyone.
Can I invite several performers at once?
Yes, from the Application Manager. Open Applications, choose a casting call and a role, and go to Suggested. You can select up to 25 performers there and invite them together.
