On Castkro, an audition starts as a casting call: a production posts the roles it is casting, and performers apply. If a casting director wants you, they get in touch through Castkro.
Browse the list
- Open Casting Calls. Signed in, it is in the main menu. Signed out, go to
castkro.com/casting-calls. - On a phone, tap Filters to open the filter panel. On a larger screen it sits beside the list.
- Set the filters you want, from the table below.
- Tap Apply filters.
- Use Sort by to switch between Newest and Oldest.
- Tap Load more at the bottom to see further listings.

Set Availability to Open
The list shows open and closed calls together unless you choose otherwise. Each card says either Applications open or Closed in the corner, but setting Availability to Open saves you from reading calls you can no longer apply to.

Each of these is the same list with a filter already applied. You can reach them from More casting calls at the bottom of a listing, or go straight to the address.

Read a listing before you apply
Open a card to see the full casting call. Check these four things first:
- Applications close under the title. After that date you cannot apply.
- What it pays, shown beside the title. A new casting call cannot publish without stating its compensation, and if the work is unpaid it says why.
- Roles, with each part's role type, gender and age range. Apply only for a role you fit.
- Posted by, which links to the casting director's profile.
Below the roles, the listing may also say which cities it is Seeking Talent From.
Never pay to audition
A genuine casting call never asks you for money to apply, audition or be cast. When you are signed in, every listing has a Report this listing link in its Important Notice box. Use it if anyone asks you to pay, or asks for favours or a private meeting.
Let matching roles come to you
Once you have a profile, Castkro suggests casting calls for you.
- Roles that match you on your dashboard lists open roles with a match percentage, for example
82% match. Tap See all to go to the full list. - The same suggestions appear at the bottom of your Applications page.
- You get a notification when new roles match your profile.
Matches are worked out once a day from your role types, skills, credits, city and age, so keeping those accurate on your profile gives you better suggestions.
Casting directors can also invite you to apply for a role. Invitations appear at the top of your Applications page under Waiting on your answer.
FAQ
Do I need an account to see casting calls?
No. Anyone can browse casting calls and open a listing. You need a free performer account to apply.
Why do I see casting calls that are closed?
The list shows open and closed calls together by default. Set Availability to Open, then tap Apply filters.
Are casting calls on Castkro checked?
Every new casting call is checked before it goes live, automatically and then by a person where needed, and contact details are removed from every call. A check is not a guarantee, so still read each listing carefully and never pay to take part.
How do I find auditions near me?
Type your city in Location, for example Pune, and tap Apply filters. Typing a state such
as Karnataka shows calls from every city in it.
Where do I find auditions for children?
Open Kids Casting Calls. Performers under 18 need a parent or guardian to hold their profile and apply for them.
How many casting calls can I apply to?
The free plan includes 15 applications a month. Browsing is unlimited.
