Why Your Profile Is Not Showing in Search
Casting directors only find profiles with a headshot, at least four photos, a bio of 100 or more characters, at least one role type and 70% completion. Your dashboard shows which one you are missing.

Casting directors search in Find Talent, and it only shows profiles with a headshot, at least four photos, a bio of at least 100 characters, at least one role type and 70% completion. This is a separate check from your completion percentage, so a profile can look finished and still not appear.
The five things search needs
You need all five. Missing any one keeps you out.
| Requirement | What counts | Where to fix it | Example |
|---|---|---|---|
| A headshot | A profile photo of your face | Tap the camera button on your photo, labelled Edit headshot | A front-facing photo in daylight |
| At least 4 photos | Photos in your Photos section | Photos, then Add photo | 2 close-ups and 2 full-body shots |
| A bio of at least 100 characters | Characters, not words. Hindi and other scripts count the same way | Bio, then Edit | About three lines of text |
| At least one role type | Any role type you have chosen | Role types | Actor |
| Profile at least 70% complete | The percentage in the ring around your headshot | Any section still missing | 70% or higher |
100% complete is not the same as searchable
Your completion percentage gives full marks for a bio from 50 characters. Search wants 100. And completion can pass 70% with no photos at all: finish setup, skip photos and add a short bio, and you can sit at 85% while failing two of the five checks above.
How to see exactly what you are missing

- Open your dashboard.
- Find the card headed Where your profile stands.
- Look for the first line without a tick. Under it is a list of what is missing, with your
progress, for example
At least 4 photos (1 of 4). - Tap an item. The editor for that part of your profile opens.
- Save your change and come back to the card.
The card has four lines, from easiest to hardest to reach:
| Line | What it means | What it needs |
|---|---|---|
| Profile live | Anyone with your link can see your page | A headshot and 40% completion |
| In Discovery | You appear when casting directors search Find Talent | The five requirements above |
| On Google | Your profile can be found in search engines | A headshot and 40% completion |
| Featured | Eligible for featured placement on the site | At least 6 photos, a video, 90% completion, and a profile the Castkro team has marked verified |
The Castkro team sets these requirements and can adjust them. The card always shows the current list for your profile, so trust it over any number written down elsewhere, this page included.
A worked example
Asha finished setup, skipped the Photos step and added a 60-character bio. Her ring reads 85%.
- Headshot: yes
- Photos: 0 of 4, so she fails this
- Bio: 60 characters, so she fails this
- Role types:
Actor, so she passes - Completion: 85%, so she passes
She adds four photos and writes two more sentences in her bio. She now meets all five and appears in Find Talent, and her ring moves up to 95%.
How quickly it updates
Your profile is rechecked each time you save a change. Find Talent then shows you within a few minutes. Every profile is also rechecked overnight, so if something still looks wrong the next day, the card is showing you the real answer.
Google is slower. It lists your profile once it next visits the page, which can take days or weeks, and Castkro does not control that timing.
Other reasons you may not appear
- You made your profile private. The card says Hidden by you. Tap Make my profile public again to undo it.
- Your profile was suspended. The card says so, and there is nothing to complete. Contact us if you think it is a mistake.
- The search has filters on. Being in Discovery means you can appear, not that you appear in
every search. A casting director filtering for
Delhiwill not see a profile set toMumbai, so keep your city and role types accurate.
Paying does not skip the bar
A paid plan does not put a profile into Find Talent that is missing any of the five requirements. Free and paid profiles clear the same bar.
FAQ
My dashboard says my profile is complete. Why can casting directors not find me?
Completion and search are separate checks. Open Where your profile stands on your dashboard and read the list under the first unticked line. A short bio or fewer than four photos is almost always the answer.
How long after fixing it will I show up?
Usually within a few minutes of saving. If the card shows a tick next to In Discovery, you are in.
I made my profile private. Can I make it public again?
Yes, tap Make my profile public again. You need a headshot and 40% completion first. If you are below that, the card tells you what to add, and Castkro warns you about this before you hide.
If my profile is private, can casting directors I applied to still see it?
Yes. Casting directors you have already applied to, or who have already shortlisted you, can still see your profile. Nobody else can.
Do I need to be verified to appear in search?
No. None of the five requirements for Find Talent is a verification. A verified profile only comes into it for the Featured line.
