Editing, Unpublishing and Closing a Casting Call
Open My Casting Calls and tap Edit casting call. A live call stays live while your changes are checked. It closes on its Listing expiry date, and Unpublish takes it off the site at once.

Open My Casting Calls and tap Edit casting call. A live call stays live while your changes are checked. A call closes by itself on its Listing expiry date, and Unpublish takes it off the site straight away. You can publish it again later.
Find the call
Tap My Casting Calls in the menu. Each call shows a badge, and the tabs along the top filter by status: All, Published, Under review, Needs changes, Drafts and Closed.

Edit a call
- On the call, tap Edit casting call. On a call marked Needs changes the button reads Fix and resubmit.
- The wizard opens on Production basics. Move between steps with the step names at the top, or with Back and Next at the bottom.
- Change what you need. Changes save as you go, and Draft saved appears near the top once they have.
A call that is Open does not need publishing again after an edit. What you change shows on the live call.
A live call stays live while your edit is checked
Changing the title, description, pay or a role sends the new version through the same check a new call gets. The call stays up while that happens. If the new version is declined, the call comes off the site and shows Needs changes until you fix it, and you get an email titled Your casting call needs changes saying what to change.
Contact details are removed from your edit automatically, just as they were from the original. See Why Your Casting Call Is Under Review if an edit is declined.
Change or remove a role
Go to the Roles step. Tap a role's name to open its card, then:
- Edit opens the role form. Change it and tap Save role.
- Remove asks Remove this role?. Tap Remove role to confirm. This cannot be undone.
You cannot remove a call's only role
A casting call always needs at least one role, so removing the last one is refused. Today the dialog gives no message when this happens, it just stays open. To replace a role, add the new one first, tap Save role, then remove the old one.
Extend a call, or reopen a closed one
- Tap Edit casting call and go to Audition & logistics.
- Set Listing expiry to a later date, for example
30 November 2026.
A Closed call starts taking applications again as soon as the new date is saved. Changing only the date does not send the call back for review.
A call closes at the start of its expiry date
Listing expiry has to be a future date, and applications stop at the very beginning of that day.
If performers should be able to apply all day on 29 November, set the expiry to 30 November.
Close a call early
There is no separate close button. You have two ways to stop applications before the expiry date:
- Unpublish it to take it off the site straight away. See the next section.
- Move the expiry date closer. The earliest date you can set is tomorrow.
Unpublish a call
- In My Casting Calls, find the call and tap Unpublish.
- Tap Tap again to confirm.
You can also do this from the last step of the wizard, under Take this off the site.
The call stops being visible to performers straight away and shows Unpublished. You keep the call and its applications.
To put it back, tap Edit casting call, go to Review & publish and tap Publish casting call. It goes back through review before it is live again.
Pulling a call out of review
A call still Under review shows Withdraw from review instead of Unpublish. It goes back to draft, and you can submit it again whenever you like.
FAQ
Will editing my live call take it down?
No. It stays live while the change is checked. It only comes down if the check declines the new version, and then you are told what to change.
My call says Closed. How do I reopen it?
Edit the call and set Listing expiry to a later date. It reopens as soon as the date is saved.
Why can I not delete a role?
If it is the call's only role, removing it is refused. Add the replacement role first, then remove the old one.
Can I delete a casting call completely?
Not from My Casting Calls. Unpublish it instead. It disappears from the site and stays in your list with an Unpublished badge.
I unpublished a call by mistake
Tap Edit casting call, go to Review & publish and tap Publish casting call. Because it goes back through review, it can take a minute or so to be live again.
Do people who already applied find out when I unpublish a call?
No. Unpublishing does not notify anyone who applied. If you have made your decisions, let applicants know from the Application Manager with Shortlist or Not a fit.
