You will be asked to sign in first. We will bring you straight back to this step.
Open your dashboard, go to Your Profile, and tap Edit on Role types, Skills or Languages, or Add credit under Experience. You can hold up to 5 role types, 15 skills and 20 languages. Role types are what casting directors search by, so start there.
What each one is for
| Section | What it means | Limit | Example |
|---|---|---|---|
| Role types | The kinds of work you are open to | 5 | Actor, Model, Voiceover |
| Skills | What you can do on set | 15 | Dancing, Singing, Comedy |
| Languages | Languages you speak, and how well | 20 | Hindi, Native. Marathi, Fluent |
| Experience | Productions you have worked on | No limit | See below |
Choose your role types
- Open Dashboard and scroll to Your Profile.
- On the Role types row, tap Edit (the pencil button).
- Type in Search role types…, for example
act. - Tap each role type you want to add. It appears as a chip at the top.
- To take one off, tap the × on its chip.
- Tap Save. You see Role types updated.
Five is a limit, not a target
A casting director searching for a model does not want to scroll past actors who ticked every box. Pick the role types you would genuinely audition for this month. Two or three accurate ones get you better matches than five loose ones.
If you try to save more than five, the save is refused with a message such as You can select up to 5 roles. Remove 1 to continue. Remove one and save again.
Add your skills
Skills work the same way. On the Skills row, tap Edit, search in Search skills…, tap to add, and tap Save.
List what you could do on camera tomorrow if asked, such as Dancing or Singing, not what you
plan to learn. You can hold up to 15.
Add your languages
Languages have their own row, separate from skills, because each one carries a level.
- On the Languages row, tap Edit.
- Search in Search languages… and tap a language to add it, for example
Hindi. - Next to it, choose how well you speak it: Basic, Conversational, Proficient, Fluent or Native. A new language starts at Proficient.
- Tap Save. You see Languages updated.
Casting directors see the level next to the language on your profile, so be honest about it. A role written for a native Bengali speaker is not a good fit for Basic Bengali.
Add experience and credits
A credit needs all six fields:
| Field | What to put | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Your role / character | The part you played | Inspector Rao |
| Year | When it was released or shot | 2024 |
| Role type | What kind of work it was | Actor |
| Production title | The name of the production | Khoj |
| Company | The production house or brand | Red Door Films |
| Production type | The kind of production | Web Series |
- On the Experience row, tap Add credit.
- Fill in each field.
- Tap Add credit at the bottom of the panel. You see Credit added.
Every field is needed. If one is empty you see Fill in every field to add a credit. To take a credit off, tap Manage on the Experience row, then Remove next to it.
Theatre, student films and ads all count
A college play, a short film or a local ad is real experience. Add it with the closest role type and production type. A profile with two honest credits reads better than an empty one.
How this affects your profile
- Completion. Choosing at least one role type adds 13% to your profile completion. Adding at least one skill, or at least one language, adds another 13%. Credits do not change the percentage.
- Search. You need at least one role type to appear when casting directors search Find Talent. See why your profile is not showing in search.
- Applications. Some casting calls ask for a credit or more, either before you can apply or as something that strengthens your application. See how to make your application stronger.
FAQ
I had more than 5 role types before. Will I lose them?
No. A profile that already held more than the limit keeps them. You cannot add another until you are back under the limit, and once you remove enough to get there, the limit applies from then on.
Do languages count towards my 15 skills?
No. Languages have their own limit of 20. They do count for the skills step of your profile completion, so a profile with languages and no other skills still gets that 13%.
Why can I not find my skill in the list?
Castkro sets the list, so search for a shorter word, such as dance rather than Bharatanatyam dancer.
If it is genuinely missing, write it into your bio instead, where casting directors will read it.
Can I edit a credit after adding it?
Not from your dashboard. Remove it with Manage and Remove, then add it again with the corrected details.
My role types look right but I am still not in search
Role types are one of five things search needs. Check the Where your profile stands card on your dashboard for the others.
