Claiming Your Castkro Profile Link

Every performer profile has a link in the form castkro.com/@your-name. Change it from the pencil next to the link on your dashboard. Your old link keeps working and redirects to the new one.

Find your profile link

You will be asked to sign in first. We will bring you straight back to this step.

Your profile already has its own link, in the form castkro.com/@asha-kumar. You find it at the top of your dashboard, next to your headshot. To change the part after the @, tap the pencil next to the link. Your old link keeps working and sends people to the new one.

Where your link comes from

Castkro makes your first link from your first and last name, such as @asha-kumar. If that is already taken, a number is added, such as @asha-kumar-2. You can change it to something you prefer.

Find and share your link

  1. Open Dashboard.
  2. Look at the top card, beside your headshot. Your link is shown as text, for example castkro.com/@asha-kumar.
  3. Tap Share to copy it. The button changes to Link copied.
  4. Paste it into your Instagram bio, your WhatsApp status or your email signature.

View profile opens the page exactly as other people see it.

Change your link

  1. On your dashboard, tap the pencil next to your link. Edit your profile link opens.
  2. In Your profile link, type the part after the @, for example asha-kumar-actor.
  3. Tap Save link. You see Your profile link has been updated.

The rules

  • Between 3 and 30 characters.
  • Lowercase letters, numbers and single hyphens. Asha-Kumar is saved as asha-kumar.
  • No spaces, dots or underscores, and no hyphen at the start or end, and never two in a row.
  • Some words are reserved and cannot be used on their own, such as castkro, admin, help, casting and talent.
  • A link somebody else is using, or used before, cannot be taken.

Pick something you will keep

Every change works, but a link you have printed on a portfolio or shared in a hundred messages is worth keeping steady. Something like your stage name, with -actor or -model added if it is taken, lasts.

What happens to your old link

  • It keeps working. Anyone who opens your old link is taken straight to your new one.
  • Nobody else can take it. A link you have released stays reserved for you.
  • You can go back to it. If you change your mind, your own old link is still available to you.

Who does not get a link

A profile run by a parent or guardian for a child does not get a public link of this kind. The guardian still has View profile to see the page. See Castkro's policy for performers under 18.

FAQ

Does changing my link change my name on Castkro?

No. The link is only the web address. Your name is set in Account settings.

I shared the old castkro.com/artist link. Does it still work?

Yes. Older profile links still open your profile and point people to your current link.

My profile link shows "page not found" to my friend

Check whether your profile is private, or does not yet have a headshot and 40% completion. See your privacy controls.

How often can I change it?

As often as you need, though several changes within a minute are paused briefly. Remember that each old link stays reserved for you, so nobody can pick it up in between.
