How to Build a Castkro Profile That Casting Directors See
Sign up as a Performer / Artist, finish three setup screens, then add a bio of at least 100 characters and four photos. Casting directors cannot find you in search without those last two.

You will be asked to sign in first. We will bring you straight back to this step.
Sign up as a Performer / Artist, finish three setup screens, then add a bio and your photos from your dashboard. Setup takes a few minutes. The bio and at least four photos are what decide whether casting directors can find you, and setup lets you skip both.
Before you start
Have these ready. You can stop and come back, and nothing you have saved is lost.
- A clear, recent photo of your face for your headshot. A phone photo is fine.
- Four more photos: two close-ups and two full-body shots, with no sunglasses, caps or filters.
- Your mobile number. Indian numbers get a one-time code to confirm them.
- Your real date of birth. Castkro asks for it separately from the ages you can play.
Step 1: Create your account
- Open Sign up and choose Performer / Artist under This profile is for…
- Fill in First name and Last name, for example
PriyaandSharma. - Enter your Date of birth, for example
14 March 2000. - Enter your Email and a Password of at least 8 characters.
- Tick I agree to the Terms of Use and tap Sign Up Now.
You can also tap Continue with Google instead of choosing a password.
Signing up someone under 18
If the date of birth is under 18, Castkro asks whether the profile is for you or for your child. Profiles for performers under 18 are held by a parent or guardian, and every message from a casting director goes to that adult. Read our policy for performers under 18 before you continue.
Step 2: About you
The first setup screen is headed Let's build your profile.

| Field | What to put | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Profile photo | Your headshot. Tap Add photo, then crop it. Images up to 10 MB. | A front-facing photo in daylight |
| Gender | The one that describes you. | Female |
| City | Where you live and can work from. Start typing and pick from the list. | Mumbai |
| Country Code and Phone number | Your mobile number. Indian numbers must be exactly 10 digits. | +91 and 9876543210 |
Tap Continue. If you entered an Indian number, a Verify your phone number box opens. Enter the code we text you to move on.
Step 3: Your work
This screen is headed What do you do? It is how casting directors match you to roles.
| Field | What to put | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Roles you're open to | Up to 5 role types. | Actor, Model |
| Skills | Up to 15. Languages you add later on your dashboard also count here. | Dancing, Singing |
| Professional title | A short line shown on your profile. | Actor and theatre performer |
| Screen age from / to | The ages you can believably play on camera, not your real age. | 22 to 28 |
| Height | Feet and inches. | 5' 5" |
| Weight (kg) | Your current weight. | 55 |
Tap Continue.
Fill in the casting details even though they say optional
Height, weight and screen age are marked optional on this screen, but together they are worth 13% of your profile completion, and casting directors filter Find Talent by age. It takes thirty seconds now and saves a trip back later.
Step 4: Photos
This screen is headed Add your best photos.
- Tap Add photos and pick your photos. Each one can be up to 10 MB.
- Aim for two close-ups and two full-body shots.
- Tap Continue.
The free plan holds 6 portfolio photos, and paid performer plans have no limit. Next you will see the plans page. Tap Continue with the free plan if you do not want to choose one now.
"Add later" keeps you out of search
You can tap Add later to skip this screen, and you will still reach your dashboard. But casting directors only see profiles with at least four photos in Find Talent, so a finished profile with a skipped Photos step does not show up in their search.
Step 5: Finish on your dashboard
Setup does not ask for a bio. Add one straight away, because search needs it.
- On your dashboard, find Your Profile and tap Edit next to Bio.
- Write at least 100 characters about who you are and what you do.
- Tap Save.
A bio that works reads like this:
Mumbai-based actor trained in Kathak and theatre, with three years on stage in Hindi and Marathi plays. Comfortable with long dialogue scenes and outdoor shoots. Fluent in Hindi, Marathi and English.
Then check the card headed Where your profile stands. It shows whether you are In Discovery, which means casting directors can find you, and lists anything still missing.
What your completion percentage counts
The ring around your headshot shows a percentage. This is exactly what adds up to 100:
| Section | Worth | Counts when |
|---|---|---|
| Headshot | 12% | You have a profile photo |
| Phone number | 8% | A number is on your account |
| Basic info | 13% | Gender and city are filled in |
| Bio | 13% | Your bio is at least 50 characters |
| Physical details | 13% | Height, weight and both screen ages are filled in |
| Role types | 13% | At least one is chosen |
| Skills | 13% | At least one skill or language |
| Photos | up to 10% | Full marks at 4 photos |
| Videos | up to 5% | Full marks at 1 video on the free plan, 5 on a paid plan |
Completion and search are different checks
Your percentage counts a bio from 50 characters, but search wants 100. A profile can read 85% and still be invisible to casting directors. The Where your profile stands card is the one to trust for search.
FAQ
Does it cost anything to create a profile?
No. Creating a profile and applying to casting calls are free. The free plan includes 6 portfolio photos, 1 video and 15 applications a month.
My profile says 100% but I am not in search. Why?
Search checks a separate list: a headshot, at least four photos, a bio of 100 or more characters, at least one role type and at least 70% completion. The most common gap is a bio between 50 and 99 characters, which gets full completion marks but does not pass search.
Can I skip the Photos step?
Yes, tap Add later. You can add photos any time from Photos on your dashboard. Until you have at least four, casting directors will not find you in search.
How many role types and skills can I choose?
Up to 5 role types and up to 15 skills. Choose the ones you would genuinely take work in, because casting directors match you to roles by them.
Can I change my screen age or height later?
Yes. On your dashboard, tap Edit next to Physical details.
I am under 18. Can I make my own profile?
Not on your own. A parent or guardian holds profiles for performers under 18. Your date of birth is saved, and they can set up the profile with you.
