Public, Discoverable, Indexable: Your Privacy Controls
Your profile can be live by link, in Find Talent search, and on Google. Make it private under Profile visibility in Account settings. Casting directors you applied to can still see it.

Your profile has three kinds of visibility: live to anyone with your link, listed in casting directors' Find Talent search, and findable on Google. To hide it from all three, open Account settings, find Profile visibility, and tap Make my profile private. Casting directors you applied to can still see it.
The three kinds of visibility
Each one is decided separately, so a profile can be live by link and still not appear in search.

The Where your profile stands card on your dashboard shows a tick next to each one you have, and lists what is missing for the ones you do not. Make your profile private
- Open the account menu and tap Account settings.
- On the Account tab, find the Profile visibility card.
- Tap Make my profile private. A short explanation opens.
- Read it, then tap Make it private.
It takes effect straight away. The same control is on your dashboard, inside the Where your profile stands card.
Once your profile is private:
- Your profile link shows a "page not found" page to everyone else.
- You no longer appear in Find Talent, and your page stops being available to Google.
- Performances you recorded on Castkro Perform stop appearing in public lists.
- The card says Hidden by you.
Check whether you can undo it before you hide
To make a profile public again it needs a headshot and 40% completion. If yours does not have those yet, the explanation says so before you confirm, with the list of what you would need to add first.
Who can still see a private profile
- You. Your own profile always opens for you.
- Casting directors whose casting calls you have applied to. Going private does not take back an application. They can still open your profile from it.
- Casting directors who added you to one of their candidate lists before you went private. A list made afterwards does not count.
Nobody else can, including other casting directors who search for you by name.
Make your profile public again
- Open Account settings and find Profile visibility.
- Tap Make my profile public again.
If the button is not there, the card says To make it public again you will need to: followed by
what is missing, for example Add a headshot. Add those, then come back.
Going public puts you back on the three kinds of visibility above, each one as soon as your profile meets its requirements.
Your phone number and social links
These are separate from profile visibility.
- Show my phone number. In Account settings, this switch decides whether a casting director who unlocks your contact details sees your number. Turn it off and they do not get it, and they are not charged for it. It does not hide your profile.
- Social links. Instagram, Facebook and IMDb links you add on your dashboard are never shown publicly or sent to search engines. Only a casting director who has unlocked your contact details sees them.
Being featured on Castkro's own Instagram and Facebook
The Castkro's social accounts card in Account settings has a switch called Let Castkro feature me. Turning it off stops anything new being posted. It cannot remove a post that has already gone out, so ask us if you want one taken down.
FAQ
Does making my profile private withdraw my applications?
No. Your applications stay where they are, and those casting directors can still open your profile. To withdraw one, use Withdraw on the My Applications page while it still says Applied.
Can I hide from Google but stay in Find Talent?
No. There is no separate switch for Google. Private hides your profile from both, along with your link.
My card says my profile was suspended. Can I make it public?
No. A suspended profile is not visible to anyone, and it is not something you can undo from your account. Contact us through the contact form if you think it is a mistake.
A casting director unlocked my number before I turned it off. Can they still see it?
Not on Castkro. Once Show my phone number is off, your number is not shown to casting directors, including ones who unlocked it earlier. Castkro cannot take back a number somebody has already written down, though.
Are profiles of performers under 18 treated differently?
Yes. A child's profile is managed by a parent or guardian, and some details are never shown publicly. See Castkro's policy for performers under 18.
