What Profile Completion Actually Measures

Your percentage adds up nine sections, from a headshot worth 12% to videos worth 5%. It is a progress guide, not the bar for appearing in search, which asks for more photos and a longer bio.

Your profile completion percentage adds up nine sections of your profile, from a headshot worth 12% to videos worth 5%. It shows how much of your profile is filled in. It is not the test for appearing in casting directors' searches, which asks for more.

You see the percentage on the ring around your headshot at the top of your dashboard.

What each section is worth

Section Worth Counts as done when Checklist label
Headshot 12% You have a headshot Add a headshot
Basic info 13% Your gender and your city are both set Complete your basic info
Bio 13% Your bio is at least 50 characters Add your bio
Physical details 13% Height, weight and the age range you play are all filled in Add your physical details
Role types 13% You have chosen at least one Choose your role types
Skills 13% You have at least one skill or one language Add your skills
Photos Up to 10% You have 4 photos. Each photo adds a share Add 2 more photos
Phone number 8% A phone number is on your account Add your phone number
Videos Up to 5% See below Add a video reel

The total is rounded down, so 97.5% shows as 97%.

How photos and videos are counted

Photos score in steps: one photo is worth 2.5%, and four photos give the full 10%. More than four does not add anything to the percentage, though it still helps casting directors.

Videos depend on your plan. On the free plan, which holds one video, one video gives the full 5%. On a paid performer plan the full 5% needs five videos, so one video there is worth 1%.

How to use the checklist

  1. Open Dashboard.
  2. At the bottom of the card with your headshot, find Complete your profile, followed by how much is left, for example Complete your profile · 26% to go.
  3. Read the three items shown. They are the three that add the most, each with its value, such as Add your bio +13%.
  4. Tap one. The editor for that part of your profile opens.
  5. Save your change. The ring and the checklist update.

Add your phone number opens Account & settings, where your phone number lives. So does your city: if Complete your basic info is still showing after you set your gender, add your city under Location in Account & settings.

A worked example

Rohan has a headshot, his gender and city, a 70-character bio, height, weight and a playing age of 22 to 28, the role type Actor, the skill Dancing, one photo and a phone number. He has no videos.

  • Headshot 12, basic info 13, bio 13, physical details 13, role types 13, skills 13, phone 8
  • Photos: 1 of 4, so 2.5
  • Videos: 0

That is 97.5, shown as 97%. His checklist shows Add 3 more photos and Add a video reel.

100% complete is not the same as being searchable

This is the most common surprise. Casting directors search in Find Talent, and that search has its own, higher bar:

Profile completion Find Talent search
Bio 50 characters counts 100 characters needed
Photos Helps, never required At least 4 needed
Headshot 12% Required
Role type 13% Required
Overall Any percentage At least 70% complete

So a profile at 85% with no photos and a 60-character bio is not in search. Read why your profile is not showing in search for the full list, and check the Where your profile stands card on your dashboard, which always shows the current requirements for your profile.

Other places your percentage is used

Your profile needs 40% and a headshot to be visible to anyone with your link and to be listed on Google. Some casting calls also ask for a minimum, such as Profile at least 60% complete, before you can apply.

FAQ

I filled everything in. Why am I stuck at 95%?

Usually it is videos or photos. Check whether you have four photos, and on a paid plan, whether you have five videos. The checklist names what is left.

Does my bio count if it is written in Hindi?

Yes. The bio is counted in characters, and characters in Devanagari, Tamil or any other script count the same as English letters.

Does adding credits raise my percentage?

No. Experience and credits are not part of the percentage, but some casting calls look for them.

Why does my friend on a paid plan have a lower percentage with the same profile?

The videos section counts against a different number on paid plans: five videos instead of one. The percentage is a guide to your own profile, not a score to compare with other people.

Is completion the same as verification?

No. Completion only measures what you have filled in. Nothing in it checks your identity.
