Sign in, then select Report this listing on a casting call, Report on a profile, or the report icon at the top of a conversation. Pick what happened, answer the short question, and select Submit report. A person on our team reads every report, and the person you report is not told it was you.
Before you start
- You need to be signed in. The Report buttons only appear when you are. If you cannot sign in, use the contact form instead (see the end of this article).
- Keep the evidence. Do not delete the conversation. Messages sent on Castkro are what our team can look at.
- You cannot report your own account or your own casting call. The button is not shown there.
Step 1: Open the report form
Where the button is depends on what you are reporting.
| What you are reporting | Where to find Report |
|---|---|
| A casting call | Open the listing. In the Important Notice box under the apply panel, select Report this listing. |
| A performer or casting director | Open their profile and select Report, next to Share. |
| A whole conversation | Open it in your messages and tap the report icon at the top of the thread. |
| Particular messages | In the conversation, select Report specific messages, tap each message, then select Report in the bar at the bottom. |
Each one opens the same Report a concern form.
Point at the exact messages
If one or two messages are the problem, Report specific messages is better than reporting the whole conversation. You can pick up to 20, and our team goes straight to them.
Step 2: Choose what happened
Under What happened?, pick the reason that describes what actually happened, not the most serious one on the list. The specific reason is what gets your report looked at the right way.

| Reason | Pick it when |
|---|---|
| They asked me for money | Any fee, deposit or payment, for anything |
| Sexual or inappropriate request | Anything sexual, or a request with nothing to do with the role |
| Concern about a child's safety | Anything involving a performer under 18 |
| Asked me to audition somewhere unsafe | A hotel room, a private home, or a place they will not name |
| Illegal activity | You were asked to do something against the law |
| Pretending to be a production house or someone else | They claim a company or a name that is not theirs |
| Abusive or harassing messages | Threats, insults, or messages that will not stop |
| Not a real casting call, or the details were false | The project, the company or the pay does not add up |
| Pushed me to continue off Castkro immediately | Moved to WhatsApp, Telegram or a call before anything was real |
| Discriminatory requirements | A requirement that excludes people unfairly |
| Spam or repetitive posting | The same listing or message, again and again |
| They never responded to my application | You applied and heard nothing |
| Something else | None of the above |
Step 3: Answer the question for that reason
Most reasons ask one short question. For the most serious reasons it is marked with * and you
have to answer it before you can submit. Write the specific thing that happened.
- They asked me for money asks How much were you asked for, and how were you asked to pay?
Example:
₹3,000 "portfolio fee" by UPI to a personal number, asked on WhatsApp two days after I applied - Asked me to audition somewhere unsafe asks Where were you asked to go?
Example:
A hotel room in Andheri West, for a "private screen test" at 9 pm - Pretending to be a production house or someone else asks Who are they claiming to be?
Example:
Says they are the casting team for a big-banner Hindi film, but the email is a Gmail address
Then add anything else under Anything else? (optional), such as the date it happened.
Also block this person is ticked for you. Leave it ticked and, once the report is sent, neither of you can message, invite or contact the other. Untick it if you only want our team to look. How blocking works.
Select Submit report. You will see Thank you. A person reads every report.
Not hearing back is not against the rules
If you pick They never responded to my application, the form explains that casting directors often review dozens of applications and contact only a shortlist, and offers Close first. You can still select Submit anyway, and we read it, but it is not treated as a breach of our rules.
What happens after you report
- Your report goes into our review queue. It is not sent to the person you reported, and they are not told who reported them.
- A person on our team looks at it, along with the listing, profile or messages you reported from. The more specific your answer, the faster that goes.
- Our team decides what to do. That can mean taking a casting call down, restricting an account, or suspending it.
- You hear back. When the review is finished you get an email and a notification saying Your report has been reviewed. To protect everyone's privacy, it does not say what action was taken.
If you are in immediate danger, contact the police first. A Castkro report is not an emergency service.
If you cannot use a Report button
If you are signed out, cannot sign in, or the problem happened somewhere without a Report button, use the contact form. Choose Report a user or fake casting call as the reason, and include a link to the profile or casting call and anything that shows what happened.
FAQ
Will the person know I reported them?
No. A report goes to Castkro's team, not to the person you reported, and nothing we send them names who reported them.
Can I report a casting call without applying to it?
Yes. You only need to be signed in. Select Report this listing on the listing.
I was asked to pay a registration fee. What should I do?
Do not pay. Report it with They asked me for money and say how much and how they asked. If you have already paid, tell your bank or UPI app straight away. Staying safe: casting calls that ask for money lists the other red flags.
Why can I not submit my report?
The question under the reason is required for the most serious reasons. Answer it in a sentence and Submit report works. If you are told you have tried too many times, wait a minute and try again.
Will I be told what happened to the account?
You will be told that your report has been reviewed, but not the outcome. That protects the privacy of everyone involved, including you.
What if the report involves a child?
Choose Concern about a child's safety. Castkro's policy for performers under 18 explains how child profiles are protected.
